Your donations and funds

Several of us from Sindhi Association of North America (www.sanalist.org) - a 501(c)(3) Organization - are organizing this event with collaboration with South Asia Forum and a few other groups in LA/USA. The main recipients of the donations is SANA. SANA's Flood Relief committee is directly interfacing with following four organizations, who have very good reputation and are truly working hard on flood relief in Sindh (which is the worst hit area and is our primary focus).

We have spoken with them and we are finalizing the project which is more sustainable, long term rehabilitation in nature -- that is what they have advised will be more needed as the relief and rescue work will be finishing soon and there is some support, the situation will get worst after 2-3 months. We have raised about $50K and reimbursed about $13K already to SGA (See below). Rest this and some other forthcoming donations will be planned to be given for the rehabilitation projects. We promise to have each dollar be sent to affected area, no administration cost at all.

These organization are selected because (i) low administration cost (ii) they have already worked international organizations such as OXFAM, UNESCO, etc. (iii) personal grass root connections to their heads, and (iv) their ability and experience to carry out these types of projects. (For example the work of Thardeep is mentioned on Ted.org).
